Scenarios

Realistic situations. Meaningful choices.

BTS scenarios are designed to create discussion around judgment, communication, and consequences—not to reward one-size-fits-all answers.

Example scenario

Business Owner Complaint

A police officer is called to a business where a homeless individual has built a makeshift living area near the loading dock. The business owner needs the area cleared. The individual is reluctant to leave and has nowhere obvious to go.

  • How do you establish communication?
  • How do you balance safety, dignity, policy, and business needs?
  • Which decisions reduce escalation risk?
  • How do different choices change the outcome?

Scenario topics can support multiple training goals.
